I created this series of illustrations for a digital wallet. For animating illustrations I used the Lottie library, which allows to generate JSON animations. So this allowed us to use animated illustrations for website and app without loss of quality and resource overload.

I also have created illustrated icons to be used in the mobile application. The illustrations are made mostly of basic shapes like circles, and rounded rectangles.

Finding the colour palette

It is important to understand how different colours impact mood and perception. I always choose one main bold colour and then a colour that compliments it. In this case, the main colour is vibrant orange. It is markedly different from the blues and greens typically associated with finance and banking. The shade of orange that defined Jeton's visual identity was incorporated with visual elements. Secondary colour palette was also developed to be used in illustration system.

User interface animations

When animation is used in a subtle way, it can help users build mental models about how the system works and how they can interact with it. Animations are less critical for user experience when they are simply time-filling visual stimulations during moments of transition but definitely bringing some motion to the dull screen would be helpful to keep user’s attention.
